Reflections

With blogging its easy to go back through my posts and reflect on the previous year. To see where we've gone, things we did, milestones reached, important events. Sometimes the year drags by, other times it passes in the blink of an eye. Here is what we experienced in 2010:

January  - Saw my youngest brother for the first time in many years; Kayla went roller skating for the first time and loved it
February - Joe's deployment to Afghanistan officially came to an end when he touched down on US soil; Lucas turned two
March - My blog turned four; Lucas was potty-trained; Kayla saw Santa at the grocery store
April - The tooth fairy visited our house for the first time; saw Joe again as he transferred from NM to SC
May - I joined Joe in SC for a weekend that turned in to a house-hunting trip; then we bought a house
June - went to Kayla's Field Day where she surprised me with her potato-sack jumping abilities
July - Our family was finally reunited as we joined Joe in SC; Kayla turned seven; we attended the NDSC Convention in Orlando
August - Kayla started first grade
September - The kids discovered the ocean for the first time; participated in the annual Buddy Walk
October - Trip to the pumpkin patch; another first for the kids- fishing; Halloween
November - Turned a corner with Lucas's attachment to me; attended the Down syndrome family weekend at Victory Junction Gang Camp; my dad was declared in remission from pancreatic cancer
December - Crisis for Lucas, but all ended well; visits with Santa; Festival of Lights; and Christmas

Happy New Year ... and may we all experience many blessings in 2011!
