Luke 14 is held on February 14th and it is done as a service to families with special needs. It is a big red-carpet event - literally - families walk down a red carpet as they enter and are met with volunteers lining the sides who clap, cheer, greet, and take photos of your family.
There is socializing, dancing, a sit-down dinner and dessert served to us, and the always-fun photo booth.
This wonderful event is free to the families and we've had so much fun each year.
This year our family was minus one though. Lucas was invited to a friend's house for a pajama Valentine party. We dropped him off before the banquet and this was our family picture for the night. Lucas in his pjs and the rest of us dressed to the nines!

That is really cool, what a great idea! I should get my church to work on doing something like that. I bet it's a wonderful evening for families who don't go out all the time. Kayla is turning into such a beautiful young lady; it's fun watching her grow up!
What a wonderful idea! You all look so great - even Lucas in those pajamas! :)
That's great! I love the Luke 14 idea. Everyone should do it.
Plus, I'm always looking for an excuse to dress up. :)
