Buddy Walk Recap

Yesterday we went to the Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry's Annual Buddy Walk and had a great time! Couldn't have asked for better weather - beautiful blue sky with a high of low 70s. It was a great day of coming together to celebrate our loved ones with Down syndrome.

My dad and his wife drove up from Florida, a friend of mine and Joe's from high school (in Germany) drove over from Columbia with her 2 kids, and Kayla's 1st grade teacher from last year came to the walk with her fiance. We also walked with a few families we have become friends with locally. The Woodrum Family have 3 boys, their youngest, Nate, has Down syndrome and also attends the same school as Kayla. One of Kayla's teammates from Miracle League, who has Down syndrome, and her mom were there. And the Kirkland Family, a fellow military family who adopted two kids w/Ds from Ukraine last year.
