Grains of Gratitude

Can this really be the last weekend in Oct? It just doesn't seem possible that Nov is next week!

I'm grateful for:

1. One of the ladies I know from base is moving; her husband is getting out of the military. So a few us of got together for a going away dinner for her on Tues at Applebees. Once again Jim watched Kayla since Jennifer was going to! It was nice to get out for dinner (I just don't eat out that often) for some adult time with no little ones around.

2. I'm grateful Kayla has been sleeping in later now; but of course with the time change coming up I'm afraid that is going to mess up her schedule! She'll be waking up at her usual time, but it'll be an hour earlier...hopefully it won't take too long to get back on schedule.

3. The weather has finally cooled off here. Still a little warmer than I would like but at least it is no longer in the 90s! It's been in the mid to low 80s with a few days of 70s.

4. I'm grateful for the fun time my MOPS group had on Fri at the Pumpkin Patch; it was nice to get together outside of MOPS.

5. We went to the Zoo Boo yesterday and Kayla had a great time; and was pretty well behaved too! She's usually all over the place running here and there and not staying with me, so I'm constantly yelling and running after her :) Makes for a stressful time; thank goodness she was more calm yesterday LOL I'm grateful for the nice weather we had while at the zoo as it started to get a little too warm for me in the afternoon!

Hope you all had a great weekend too!

Thank you to Amy and Shannon for passing along the Community Blogger Award! I sure do appreciate it!

You have many things to be thankful for - Kayla is just beautiful by the way and what an appropriate name for your blog - She does have beautiful blueberry eyes! Have a good Sunday - see ya.

So many great things.....I have stepped down from DGL in MOPS.....I'm just doing Hospitality Leader. DGL was too much for me with the other. I do enjoy MOPS though.....

No matter how much we love our kids it is so NICE to be away for a little bit of a refresher! I cannot believe how much older Kayla is looking since I started reading your blog last year. She's not a baby anymore, is she? And I love her in those scrubs. How adorable is she?

I just hate the time change - it is not fun with small children. When we lived in Alaska it wasn't an issue because they didn't follow it. I hope Kayla adjusts quickly!

I am really glad you got a night with some girlfriends - a few hours away can be so refreshing.

It was like in the 40's here today. I'd love to meet you in the middle, say around the 60 degree mark?! :)

I've said before that I love these posts and I really do - they always make me think over how much I have to be grateful for, too.

It is so nice when the children sleep in a bit longer. When do your clocks go back? I get so confused. Ours went forward an hour the first week in October, in the UK they went back an hour this weekend just gone. I love the latest sidebar picture.

Congrats on the award, I got it this weekend too!

I dread the time change...it takes me a month to get used to it!

You have a wonderful day!
