Grains of Gratitude

I can't believe this week is already the 4th of July! It's been a pretty quite week for us here, just staying home, relaxing and enjoying the long days of summer.

1. I'm grateful for the KidZone on base where we met Jennifer and Katelyn on Wed. It's a nice place to go when it's just too darn hot to play outside!

2. I'm grateful for the nice time at the zoo we had with Jennifer & Katelyn, and Sue & Harrison on Friday. The kids had fun feeding the ducks, playing on the playground, and looking at the animals...and us mommies got to catch up.

3. I'm grateful for the coupons for free ice cream cones at M*Donald's I won at our MOPS silent auction. We've been able to take Kayla there a few nights and enjoy a nice, refreshing treat.

4. I'm grateful Jennifer and I were able to go to our base exchange's 1 yr anniversary celebration (without kiddos in tow) yesterday morning. We were there early enough to get free sunglasses, coupon books, and other goodies.

5. I'm grateful Joe got up with Kayla this morning so I could sleep in a little bit later - thank you honey!

Thanks to Christine for starting Grains of Gratitude!

Wow - sleeping in. What's that like? :-)

We enjoyed an indoor trip to the children's museum this week. It's not AS hot here, but hot enough to enjoy some A/C!

Have a great week and a HAPPY 4th! God Bless our Troops and families of the Armed Services!!!

Joe, you are a good husband and father! Michelle, sounds like you've had a great week with the freebies! You know how I feel about free stuff. I don't care what I get as long as it's free! This week I got several diapers and more good sized pet food samples which I will donate all these to the local women's clinic and animal shelter.

What's Kayla's favorite flavor of ice cream? And your's too? I used to be a chocolate freak, but the older I get I prefer vanilla!

Having seen it for myself, that KidZone on base is awesome! No wonder the kids have fun there.

What a wonderful thought, grains of gratitude. Sometimes it's too easy to get bogged down in the other stuff you forget the good stuff. I'll have to do this too. You have a great blog. I'm glad I found it.
