Friday Freebie and Wateroos

For US: Get a free sample of new Colgate Total Advanced Clean toothpaste.

For Worldwide: Get a free sample of Unifiber - an all natural fiber supplement. Sample is from Alaven Pharmaceutical LLC .

This week I got my free sample of Reynolds Wrap Release Non Stick Foil (plus recipes and a coupon).

Speaking of samples...I had the opportunity to try some samples of Wateroos - well actually Kayla got to try them! Wateroos is a nice alternative to the sugary juices that are out there.

Wateroos are juice-box like containers of purified water and all-natural fruit-flavored water. There are no added sugars, sweeteners, artificial flavors, and no juice. That one got me. If they contain no juice how are the fruit-flavored? Well I found that answer, among others, on their FAQ page. This is how they do it, "The natural flavors used in Wateroos are derived primarily from fruits. To create a natural fruit flavor, first you take the fruit and boil out everything but the crucial ingredients. What's left is a concentrated extract or what can be referred to as "natural flavoring." We then take a blend of different fruit flavorings to create our great-tasting flavored waters. " Pretty interesting!

Kayla enjoyed drinking out of a "juice-box" (which she rarely gets) and thought it was something neat. Besides the regular, purified water, they have apple-, grape-, and berry-flavored. She seemed to like the berry-flavor best. I took a few sips of each so I could see what they tasted like too. Pretty good for when you want a chance to plain water. My only suggestion would be just a hint more of the flavoring...it was almost an aftertaste, but still refreshing!

I think these boxes would be good to keep in the freezer and grab for lunches, trips to the park or zoo. They'll stay nice and cold as they thaw out and ready to drink by the afternoon.

I like the convenience of the boxes and also the fact that if they spill they won't be a sticky mess because they are just water!

I haven't seen them in any of the stores in my area, but you can buy them online, but the shipping does get expensive.

Here is their story to how it all began.

That sounds awesome! I drink nothing but naturally flavored waters without sugar or sweetners, and this is so great to find that they have something like this for kids. Now anytime I have a sip of something like pop, or juice, it is too sweet for me! I don't want my daughters getting hooked on all the sugary drinks that are available everywhere, so this is a wonderful alternative.

Thanks for the information about the Colgate. I'm going right over there. And the Wateroos sound perfect for our Cameron - sugar free sure works for us. I hope I can find them.

It's so nice the way you do this every Friday.

And I'm curious. How are you feeling?

Yay for freebies!! Jack goes through phases where he loves juice, then he won't have anything to do with it. I guess it's just his age!

Wow, I've never heard of Waterloos...it sounds like something from Australia! :) Since my youngest especially isn't suppose to have very much juice at all, I will definitely look into this. Thanks, Michelle! :)

Thanks! I bought the Wateroos on-line after seeing Janeen's post. The girls love the grape so far. With their weight issues, we really need to make what they drink count - they only get soy milk/formula & water. I actually got enough for Kayla's party. My girls don't drink juice, so this gave me a great alternative. I'll have a little juice in case the kids used to juice don't like the flavored water!
