Hard to believe

that Christmas is already over! It seems like there is such a build up and then it's over before you know it! Hope everyone had a wonderful time celebrating with family and/or friends! Kayla sure enjoyed Christmas! She was surprised to see all the gifts under the tree "wow!" and wanted to help us open our presents too...isn't that the way it goes?

That afternoon we went over to our friends' house and had a nice dinner of cornish game hen and ham plus all the extras. Kayla and their daughter had fun playing together and we played a couple rounds of Jenega before it was time to dig in to the pies! I brought the Banana Carmel Spice Pie. We were able to take some leftovers home so I don't have to cook tonight!

"Wow!" she exclaimed!

I can really open presents now?!

She was so excited to get the newest Boz DVD

Grandma brought this book back from Scotland. It's called "Hamish the Hairy Haggis" and that little ball of fur to the left of Kayla is "Hamish" which Kayla calls a cat. So what is Haggis? It's a traditional Scottish dish that sounds absolutely disgusting. Click the link if you want to know what's in it! Some Scots say Haggis is a small animal native to Scotland - hence the book and furball (folklore of course!)

A purse/book from her great-grandparents

Concentrating on the Dora phone that is talking to her

Love the expression on her face here! She received 2 tshirts that say "My Aunt is a Firefighter"

She was actually signing "firefighter" but she signs it at the back of her head instead of the front!

What has them so surprised?

It's beautiful isn't it?!

Finally all done...until the in-laws arrive on Fri and fill the space under the tree up again!

Mike from Something About Parenting offered a few readers a free "scribble" a while back and I was lucky enough to send him a picture he could use. I was so impressed with what he sent me, it just came out so beautifully and I had tears in my eyes! I couldn't wait for Joe to open it yesterday morning! Needless to say he loves it as well. Thank you so much Mike for the amazing job you did!
