Grains of Gratitude

This is where I usually do 5 things I'm grateful for from the past week. Since today is the last day of the year, I thought I would do 5 things I'm grateful for from 2006. Of course there are a lot more than 5 things to be grateful for, but I don't have all day to write them, and you don't have all day to read them!

1. I'm actually grateful that I started blogging because I've "met" so many wonderful people out there!

2. Grateful that Kayla's cardiac catheterization went so well, grateful for our insurance which covered the procedure, and grateful that is over with and behind us now!

3. Grateful that Kayla's graduation from Early Childhood Intervention and subsequent transition to preschool went so well. Grateful that she enjoys taking the bus to school and is enjoying school so much.

4. Grateful we had so much support for our annual Buddy Walk and surpassed our goal of the amount of funds we raised.

5. Grateful for all the visits we had with family this year!

So here is a quick slideshow of a recap of Kayla's year (it's only 13 pictures so it's quick!)

Here's wishing everyone a safe New Year's celebration. Praying for a healthy, happy, and prosperous new year for all of us!

Michelle,

I wanted to drop by and wish you and your family a beautiful and blessed New Year.

Thank you for the christmas card, I'm not sure if I thanked you already or not, boy I can't wait for the holidays to be over and life to get back to normal.....I feel like i'm running on empty lately.

Anyway, big big hugs to you,
Sandra

Happy New Year Michelle!! That is a great slide show. You did a great job with it. I love pictures. I have so many of the grandkids to put in albums - it's overwhelming (again - I was all caught up and got hopelessly behind). It has been quite a year - filled with blessing and difficulties. Knowing God is in control is what brings peace.
Have a wonderful New Year's weekend!!

What a lovely slide show to recap the year! I hope you don't mind, but I might just take your slide show idea and do it for Olyvia. lol Do you mind?
I'm joining in on the grains of gratitude today. I haven't posted yet, but will before the day is over.

So sweet, Michelle. For me, it's a toss-up between feeding her baby doll and hugs for her daddy. I just love those two. Photos of Kayla are always such a treat but hugs for her daddy made me a little teary-eyed.

Wishing all of you many, many blessings in the new year. Meeting you this year was such a pleasure.

How appropriate that New Year's Eve fell on the Grains this year. I too am very grateful for the people I have met via blogland. I loved catching up with the beautiful Kayla - and am glad she enjoyed her Christmas. I enjoyed the slideshow and especially the photo captioned ' Wow I can really open my presents now ...' She is a gorgeous girl. I hope you all have a wonderful new year.
