Our Buddy Walk Recap

This post will be my whole "Grains of Gratitude" post!

We had our Walk yesterday and there were so many things to be grateful for. It was such a nice day and we had a wonderful walk! My dad flew in from Fl, 2 families from the base went with us, and Kayla's former PT and her 2 sons also met us there.

As you can see we met the goal of $1500 - yay!! I can't thank everyone enough for their support of us; it meant so much to us and we're deeply grateful for all the support.

This was Roswell's 2nd Annual Buddy Walk and I think they were quite surprised by the amount of money we raised! We were recognized by the organizer of the event for raising $1500, she became a little emotional when talking about how touched she was, which in turn made me emotional! I'm so thankful we were able to contribute so much, through pledges, to such a wonderful event.

Ok enough typing - it's on to the pictures! I tried to narrow the pictures down so it wouldn't be so many in this post, but I still ended up with 10 (if you click on the photos you can see them bigger)! If you want to see the rest of the pictures you can view them on my Flickr site.

Wheeeeee!

Uh oh! She wiped out! (she was ok though - no tears!)

You know, you told me the names of everyone who went with you to walk, but when I saw the group picture, I was taken back- you had a big group with you. That's great. All the pictures are sweet and that's really nice that they recognized you for raising so much money and awareness. Rhi and Nate wished they coulda tried that big ole slide. The wipe out picture is hilarious, but only because I know Kayla didn't get hurt. Gotta go check out your flikr site now.
love you!

Oh good job, Michelle! Congratulations on reaching your goal. What great photos. I have to tell you, though, that slide looks very scary to me - I have a horrible problem with heights.

How nice that you had such great support. And you all look just wonderful.

All right, I know I should be saying something about the Buddy Walk, but what I really want to say is........Michelle, can I "borrow" Kayla for, let's say, two months so I can see what it's like to have the two cutest girls in the world at one time?! (just kidding... but not about how cute she is.) Sigh! I hope we can meet one day. I guess I'll just have to settle for pictures right now.
