Five Ingredient Friday

Before I get to this week's recipe I wanted to do a quick review of the "Barbecue Beef and Potatoes Turnover" I did 2 weeks ago. (Here is the link) I finally made these last night and they were really good - we all liked them and Kayla even ate them with no complaints and no bribes to get her to eat!

Ok this week's recipe is Baked French Toast

3 eggs
1/3 C apple juice
2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
4 slices of cinnamon/raisin bread (I just used cinnamon swirl)

Preheat oven to 375. Place bread in a shallow pan. Beat together remaining ingredients and pour over bread. Let stand for about 5 minutes turning once. When liquid is mostly absorbed place bread on a greased baking sheet. Drizzle with any remaining liquid. Bake about 10 minutes, turn slices, bake 10 minutes more.

Serve with powdered sugar.

I made these this past Sunday for Father's Day and they came out good. I doubled the recipe. I didn't drizzle with remaining liquid because the bread slices were thoroughly soaked and I didn't think they needed any more!

Kayla gave these a "mmmm good" and a "yum!"

I made your BBQ Beef Potato Turnover last week for my family. It was well received! Snuggle Bug especially enjoyed it. :) Oronzo thought it could use a bit more spices to kick it up a notch, but he had seconds so it must not have been that bad! :)

Your Baked French Toast recipe sounds heavenly! I may have to try it this weekend. Do me a favor and post your link on my Five Ingredient Friday post so that I remember to go back and check for this recipe. :)

Thanks for participating!
