There is Beauty

There is beauty in her soul.
There is beauty in her personality.
There is beauty in her joyfulness.
There is beauty in her wonderment.
There is beauty in her empathy.
There is beauty even in her stubborness.
There is beauty in her independence.
There is beauty in her laughter.
There is beauty in her excitement.
There is beauty in how she sees the world.
There is beauty in her curious nature.
There is beauty in her innocence.
There is beauty in her milestones.
There is beauty in the curve of her pinky fingers.
There is beauty in the way she loves.
There is beauty in the round shape of her face.
There is beauty in her smile.
There is beauty in the slope that leads to her button nose.
There is beauty in the slightly almond-shaped eyes.
There is beauty in the exquisite Brushfield spots.
There is beauty in my daughter.

Hi,

I'm visiting from the Bates Motel. I saw in one of your comments that you have a 9 year old. Mine is (almost) 11. For some reason it's hard to find blogs as kids get older. Maybe with time parents get bored of blogging or don't have the need for it or the time?

I, however, need it, regardless of whether I have the time or not. lol I've been Ciena's step-mom for about 2 years now. It's...not been easy. Right now we are stuck in the "how do we even communicate to each other?" mode.

Anyways, I really like your poem. If you don't mind, I'd like to steal it (and give you the credit for it) and put it somewhere that I can read it every day. Beauty is something I need to be reminded of. :)

This reminds me of the video of the person with Down Syndrome signing to their sibling. It's a very beautiful poem.
