Furnace Hills Coffee

I like finding out about companies who not only employ those with disabilities, but also support others with the sale of their products.

Furnace Hills Coffee is an organic coffee roasting company located in Carroll County, Maryland. It was started by a couple who have a daughter with Down syndrome. Erin is employed with the business and their vision is to employ "more developmentally disabled individuals in Carroll County with the objective of contributing financially...to other organizations in developing countries that work with the developmentally disabled."
Now this is a company with a vision!

So one dollar of every pound they sell is donated to Mission in Ukraine for the Romaniv Orphanage, or to Telunas Beach for community development in Southeast Asia.

In honor of World Down Syndrome Day (3/21) there is a special sale for Erin's Breakfast Blend and South American Decaf.

If only I drank coffee ...
