Cirque du Soleil ... or Chick fil A?

Sometimes I'll tell the kids about something we're going to do, or somewhere we are planning on going ... even though they have no idea what it really is, or means. For example, telling them we're going to Patriots Point, or Magnolia Plantation means nothing to them. If they haven't been there before they have nothing to associate it with. But I tell them in an excited voice and they usually respond with "yay! I love it!" or "I love (fill in the blank)" which cracks me up, because how do they know they love going there if they've never been there before?

Last night I told the kids, "Tomorrow we're going to see Cirque du Soleil!" Again, I knew this would mean nothing to them ... how do you explain Cirque du Soleil when they've never seen anything like it before? Kind of like a circus, but not really.

I was prepared for their usual excitement about going to something that they had no clue of what it actually was.

I wasn't prepared for Kayla's response. As soon as I said we were going to Cirque du Soleil, Kayla, just as excited, said, "Chick Fil A!"

Hahahahahahaha! Oh my goodness did I get a laugh out of that!

Yes they do rhyme Kayla, but Chick Fil A is not open on Sunday!

I want to know how they liked it! We've always wondered if our kids would enjoy it, I know it's pretty different.

I love Chick Fil A too, I'd be as excited as Kayla. :)

Hope you all had fun.

LOL! I love it! My kids do the same thing, but it just goes to show how a parents response to something leads the child the same way. Everything from fear to happiness. :)
