Special Exposure Wednesday

5 Minutes for Special Needs
I absolutely love how Kayla's school picture turned out this year; but I have to say thank goodness for retakes! Because this was not her original school picture. That one could have been in the running for worst school picture ever. It really was bad. Her head was tilted at an odd angel, she had a forced smile on her face, which can't even really be described as a smile. More like a grimace. Like straining her neck muscles. And it wasn't just me; Joe agreed it wasn't a great picture.

This one more than makes up for the first attempt. This one is Kayla relaxed and smiling naturally.

And I can't help but look at her gaping toothless grin and think, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!" (ok 4 front teeth in Kayla's case!)

I am laughing out loud at your description of the first picture! We have had more than one of those. But the re-take is beautiful!

I'm glad you followed your gut instinct and went with a retake. It's a very lovely school picture! :)
Last year I didn't like A's picture. Much to my better judgement and going along with everyone else that they liked it and it was fine I ordered the package. This year though he had a wonderful picture and I'll post it this week!

This picture (or rather the little girl in this picture) is beautiful! Too funny about the first one- I sure have some doosies that I wish my parents had made me do a retake- for example I have the one where I look like I'm high (I was 8)..... not the desired look... haha!

Beautiful picture! We have been very unlucky with picture days at school -- we take MUCH better pics of Ben at home, but we still buy the school pics every year. This last one he has a nice smile, but he is looking down and the edge of his toy is in the picture! lol oh well!
