Tuesday Tidbits

Recently Wendy's reinvented 4 delicious salads. I've really been wanting to try the Apple Pecan Chicken Salad or the BLT Cobb Salad. These salads are now available in half-sizes and part of Wendy's new Pick 2 for $4.99. Start with your choice of any of the half-size salads and pair it with your choice of 1 of 7 items. I chose the Apple Pecan Chicken Salad (which was really tasty) and a baked potato. In stores now is Wendy's Trick or Treat Book for just $1. The gift book contains 5 Jr Frosty coupons and proceeds benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
I received a Wendy's gift card to try their new Pick 2 for $4.99 menu items.

Visit Yoplait's Save Lids to Save Lives and send friends a virtual lid. For every virtual lid sent Yoplait will donate $1.00 to the Susan G. Komen For the Cure, up to $100,000.

~~~~~~
You can also help fight breast cancer with Dannon's Give Hope With Every Cup campaign. Just click "like" and Dannon will donate 10 cents to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
~~~~~~
Another way to help fight breast cancer is through the Milano Moments from Pepperidge Farms. When someone shares a Milano Moment on Milano's Facebook page, Pepperidge Farms will donate 50 cents to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. I'm enjoying the raspberry cookies right now. I like to have one after the kids have gone to bed and I'm relaxing for the night!

Cooler Planet is spreading awareness about what switching to CFL light bulbs can do to your energy savings and green house emission reduction. According to EnergyStar, if every home in America switched just one traditional bulb with a CFL bulb, it would prevent the release of carbon emissions equivalent to that of about 800,000 cars and would save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes. Impressive! CFL bulbs last 8x longer than traditional bulbs and use less than 25% of the energy. Over the lifetime of a bulb you can save over $42 in light bulb and energy costs - just from replacing one bulb!

We'll be giving the Wendy's Jr Frosty certificates as our trick or treat treat.

What a great way to support adoption! Thanks for mentioning it!
