Buddy Cruise

I want to go on a Buddy Cruise! This year the cruise is right after the NDSC Annual Convention in Orlando, FL. I just don't think we're going to be able to attend both; although I'd sure like to!

"Buddy Cruise Inc. is a not for profit organization serving families and friends of individuals with Down syndrome on a national level. It is our purpose to provide education and promote public awareness of Down syndrome by arranging and conducting special events, namely cruises."

The 3rd annual Buddy Cruise sets sail July 19 for 4 nights on board Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas. Chris Burke, along with his band members Joe and John DeMasi, have been confirmed as attending.

Looking at some of the photos from the '08 and '09 cruises really makes me want to go on one.

Buddy Cruise is also in competition to win a 50K award from Pepsi Refresh to film an educational documentary about individuals with Down syndrome.

I think going on a buddy cruise would be so amazing! I know that I had a great time at the Buddy Walk and I don't even have a child with ds (not yet at least!)

I'm sure you would love it. I hope, if not this year, one of these years you get to.

How's your dad doing? I've been thinking of him--and you.
