Grains of Gratitude

I'm grateful my dad and his wife arrived this week for a visit. It's been nice having them here. Kayla has been loving the attention - especially when they take her to the playground :)

and Lucas has been quite content in Grandma Linda's arms; I don't think she'll be able to leave!

I'm grateful I had 5 water bottles from Caliche's so yesterday after K registration we exchanged our bottles for 5 cones of frozen custard - yum!

I'm grateful for the anon comment I received from Chase who is going through medical school. Thank you Chase for taking the time to not only read my blog, but to get something out of it, and for taking the time to let me know how it affected you. Thank you for this, "Thank you for showing me the beauty in what I regarded only moments ago as just phenotypicals marker of a genotype" Your comment meant a lot to me.

For a Lucas update...he got a new seat yesterday and seems to like it.

On Friday he had a milestone:

Aw, if that isn't the cutest little rollover I've ever seen! Bella did it once on her 3 month bday and never again. ;-)

She loves the Bumbo too - Primo hardly used it but it's worth the money for her for sure.

What an awesome comment from the doc - awesome that he took the time to tell you!

That video is adorable! He's precious. I'm so glad they are getting some time with the grandparents. My mom just left after spending the weekend. She's so in love with her grandbaby boy and just adores being around him. I'm sure your dad and his wife will have a very hard time leaving!

Aww! I can't believe he's rolling over already!! Sooo cute. I love the pic of your dad reading to Kayla, and yeah, from that pic it does look like Linda is gonna have a hard time saying goodbye to Lucas.
love you!

What an awesome comment! If that doesn't touch your heart...!

I am looking forward to getting our household goods - the bumbo is just waiting to be put to good use. And the jolly jump up too. I can just tell she is going to LOVE that thing!

I can't believe Lucas is rolling over! Amazing!

Awwww he's rolling over already!! What a little cutie pie, I can't believe how much he's grown already. Pretty soon Kayla will get her wish and he'll be sitting down on his own playing with her! lol I saw one of those chairs when I had gone with June to visit her little granddaughter...she was sitting in one and I thought they were so neat. Baby things have come a long way since my boys were little!! xox

Hooray for Lucas rolling over! What a cute video. Baby Bug has figured out how to roll from her back to her tummy but we haven't seen her roll from her tummy to her back. :)

Glad you're enjoying the company of your dad and his wife. You have to love grandparents spoiling their grandchildren!

He is getting so big so quickly and I can see that Kayla is still taking to being the best big sis evah like duck to the water! she just gets cuter everyday - her eyes just shine! So fun that you have visitors to "share the love" aka - hold them some baby and free you up!

I can't believe how big Lucas is getting, that one pic of him alone in the seat is cute and funny at the same time LOL The expression on his face is just priceless :)

BTW, I'll be back in Arizona the middle of June :)

What a cutie rolling over. I'll bet Kayla was so excited for him. Looks like you had a nice visit. I got the bumbo chair when I had Alysa - they are great. Gives them a sense of independence when they can start playing and really paying attention. And...it's great to give you a break since they can't fall over too much. Although Alysa couldn't sit still and used to climb out of it before she could sit up. :)

Wow rolling over already!! Don't kids just love it when grandparents come to visit :-)

Great video!! Just be careful with that seat. We had one of those trying to get Noah to sit up and he arched him self back and fell right out of it.

Awww - wtg Lucas!!! How fun to have your family in town Michelle and what a wonderful comment!!

I love those bumbo seats - I so wish they'd had them when Brady was a baby :)

Thanks for joining in :)

Hope your custard was yummy :)

I love the new seat for Lucas. I found out about them to late for W.W. but I've seen other's with them and they seem to work really well.

Okay, I've thought it over and, while I normally wouldn't go for the whole "arranged marriage" thing - it being so barbaric and all - I've decided that I'll make an exception. Lucas and my newest granddaughter Kara would, indeed, make a fine couple. Don't worry about Kara's parents...I'll show them a couple of pictures of Lucas and they, too, will set aside their issues with arranged marriages, I'm sure of it. Now don't go letting any other little chickies mess with Kara's man, ya hear?

:)
