Some Female Talk

Ok let's have a show of hands if you have heavy periods (I know, personal topic!). In my late teen and early 20s I used to have heavy periods- and the awful cramps to go along with it. I remember having to call out of work almost once a month because it was so bad. Thankfully I don't have that problem anymore, especially after having kids, but I'm sure there are some of you out there experiencing this.

Thanks to Mom Central I heard about the Dare To Wear White campaign where "you can learn, laugh a little, and share your experiences and feelings on an often taboo subject."

If you're done having children there is an option for you: the NovaSure® Endometrial Ablation System. The NovaSure procedure has helped more than 650,000 women since it was first introduced in 2002. And, the results are outstanding! Clinical trial results show that more than 9 out of 10 women who have had the NovaSure procedure returned to normal or lower than normal levels of bleeding, and about 40% had no periods at all. In addition, 93% of women treated with the NovaSure procedure were satisfied with their results, and 97% said they would recommend it to a friend. The NovaSure procedure can be done in the comfort of a doctor's office or an outpatient setting without general anesthesia, and most women return to their busy lives the next day.

This is definitely something I would consider if I still had the problem of heavy periods - sounds much more appealing then hormones or a hysterectomy.

If you have heavy periods and are finished having children, there is a , short survey to take and the first 250 eligible women will receive a $10 Amazon gift certificate as a thank you for participating.

Interesting to learn about. After W.W. was born my periods actually got lighter but more erratic. I don't qualify but good to know about.

The only thing I like about getting older....don't have periods any more...Mine were strange anyway. Went for a yr in high school without one. Doctors couldn't find anything wrong, but said I wouldn't have children... did lose the first Then when my son was 4 I went for a year without one...Doctors said I was going throught the change early...put me on birth control pills ( never took them before) was on them for three mos. then had one period on my own and got pregnant with my daughter...Then when I was 43 I quit...never had one again...I told you I was strange. And Old (65) can't forget old.
I know this was more inf than you needed to read...guess I just needed something to past the time.
Please pray for my cousin Lana they just put her in the hospital. We're more like sisters than cousins....She my best friend and we talk everyday or go have lunch. Guess I'm just worried. Thanks

I have this problem and honestly accupuncture is a wonderful natural alternative. It is amazing how when the body is balanced it can heal itself!
