Grains of Gratitude

I wish we didn't have these time changes twice a year...can't we just leave the time well enough alone? :) It's hard losing an hour; it makes the day pass so much quicker. I can't believe it's already 3:30.

So my gratitude list for the past week:

1. Grateful we had a couple more meals delivered to us by the ladies from MOPS. I'm so grateful they did this for us.

2. I'm grateful my mom and aunt arrived for a week-long visit. They've been making dinners and making extra dinners to freeze for after they leave and Joe goes back to work. That will be so nice to pull a meal out of the freezer when I'm just too frazzled to cook!

3. Lucas had his 2-wk check up (already!) and I'm grateful he's gaining weight. We struggled so much with weight gain with Kayla and it was very stressful, she wasn't even back at her birth weight by her 2-wk check up. What a difference with Lucas! He was 8lbs 6oz at his appt (7lbs 8oz at birth), so I'm relieved that he's growing.

4. We all went out yesterday (well except Joe as he stayed home to study for his promotion test on Fri) and found out K-Mart was having a big baby sale. Clothes were 40% off the sale prices so we were able to buy quite a few outfits and long-sleeve onesies for Lucas at really low prices.

5. I'm grateful for these 2 blessings God has given me:

Your children are just beautiful!

About the boy diaper thing....I think just make extra sure that the diaper fits very snug around the legs. The little thing moves around and then you have the leaks. I also found that Huggies work best for boys

Michelle, I really love your blog. I don't even remember how I found you, but I added you to my "to read" list, and I am so grateful. Your "Grains of Gratitude" posts, the photos of your beautiful children, your recipes, your cheerfulness...you and your blog have made such a big impact on my life! So often, when I'm down, your posts (especially photos of Kayla or your "Grains of Gratitude" posts) cheer me up immeasurably.

Thank you.

Michelle,

My kiddos were wondering if Baby Lucas has "big blueberry eyes" like Miss Kayla does. They LOVE seeing the pictures on your blog and seeing the little stories of fun things that Kayla is up to :)

Blessings!

I enjoy your blog very much - I look forward to it every day. I have a son with brain damage, a daughter who is typical and a niece who has Down Syndrome. Needless to say, I really know each child is is a wonderful blessing and unique in their contributions to the family and the community. Your children are beautiful. I wish everyone would realize what a unique little precious piece of humanity each child is. Now that my children are grown, your blog helps me remember all the wonderful years of my little ones childhood. Thank you. For encouragement - the best is yet to come. I wish I realized how good it is to have grown children when mine were little. It seems that I worried all the time. I still worry but also thoroughly enjoy the individuals they have become. It is so worth all the years you spend to do your best to get them to adulthood.

Now that the rush has past I am making the rounds and saying "hello" to my fellow OWOH bloggers. What a fun place to visit. You've had a lot of excitement since I visited last.
Your photos are wonderful, and it is obvious from your list that you appreciate just how blessed you are.

Sending you wishes for more blessings, happiness and joy.
