This Is What Happens...

when your mom is a big sports fan!

Sometime after Kayla was born my mom was giving me a hard time about my sports-watching habits. She was saying "Poor Kayla, having to sit there while sports are on tv. How boring for her! She'll be ignored and neglected!" Of course this was all said in good fun!

Well mom, this one is for you - see how intently Kayla was sitting on her chair watching the Red Sox with me? She was just as interested - guess she takes after her mom (ok and her dad too) after all!

(FYI: "Big Papi" is the knickname for David Ortiz)

Ok , Ok , you proved me wrong!!! :_) I cannot believe little Kayla will sit there watching SPORTS!!!! Poor kid has no life when baseball, and football are on t.v. :) that was a good video of Kayla, yes, enjoying watching the Red Sox and cheering on "Big Pappi" !!! Love you Michelle, it brought a smile to my face.. love to you Kayla, love mom/grandma

I want you to know Aviva has been watching sports with me since she came home from the NICU. One of her first words was TOUCHDOWN...

Love the video!

Cute! It's amazing what they decide they love. Micah thinks he owns the tv and gets so very upset when daddy takes over. But he'll sit right next to daddy and watch Nascar or football. Other sports don't hold much interest for him.

OOOOOH she is so cute. Maybe you girls can teach me something about baseball...everything is all football-y in this house.

A true Red Sox fan!!!

Again, this is so gorgeous. I didn't realise you were a sports fan. You know I've always looked with pleasure at the American sports of Baseball etc, wishing I was American, because you all look like you have so much fun at these games and we don't have that same 'thing' here if you know what I mean. It's all Rugby which doesn't excite me - unless you like men with hard muscly thighs sticking their tongues out at you...then again, could be worse I guess.

Oh my, she's so cute! He should know of his super-cutest fan!!!

I also love sports, Vince seems to (even though he kind of likes all things on TV), Bookie hates it :-)

We are big sports fans here too (mostly just football and hockey, but we watch the occasional SF Giants game). My kids have grown up watching sports as well....and they LOVE IT! Our 14 year old dd has a very good working knowledge of many sports just by watching them on television or going to games.

PS I am praying for your family while your dh is deployed

And congrats on your pregnancy and reaching the halfway mark :) Do you know yet what you are having?

There is NOTHING wrong with a little sports!!! I am a college football watcher - one of the first things I taught Annie was
GO TIGERS!!!!

Very cute and kids do take after their parents. W.W. will sit down and watch football with Daddy, well, until Daddy gets alittle too into the game. Being a Denver fan the last game was a little much we actually turned it off. LOL

We have our fingers crossed he'll like baseball too, but you never know about kids.
