We're on our way to the Mesilla Valley Maze this morning so this will be a quick gratitude post!
1. I'm grateful we were able to talk to Joe last night. Kayla gets so excited when she hears his voice on the phone "ah Daddy!" as if she is saying "it IS daddy on the phone!" I know she's missing him and looks for him everywhere (like almost everyone we pass in uniform "daddy?") but she seems to be adjusting well with him being gone.
2. I'm grateful for winning the play silk from Chelle. We got it in the mail this week and Kayla is having so much fun with it. She placed it all nice and neat on the floor and sat on it like a little seat or something, wore it around her neck like a cape, took her shirt off and brought it around her front and used it for a shirt, or dress, used it for a blanket for her baby doll. Chelle is right - so many different ways to use it!
3. I'm grateful for also winning a contest that Amy held. I chose the kid's scrubs for my prize and that also arrived this week. I had Kayla try it on and told her that is what doctors wear. We got out her little doctor kit and she had such fun playing doctor; now if only it were that easy when we actually go to the doctor! (Pictures forthcoming!)
4. I'm grateful for Bunco on Fri night -I so enjoy these once a month get-togethers!
5. I'm grateful the weather has finally started to cool off now; we're actually suppose to be in the 70s today, which should be a nice day to go to the corn maze and pumpkin patch. Last year it was too hot out when we went, so I'm looking forward to this cooler weather!

Those play silks look great. At our library story time this week, they had pieces of net fabric for the kids to play with. (I think it's net -- like what a tutu skirt is made of?) They had all different colors and the kids loved them.
Oh, and I'm glad you got to talk to Joe. I've been thinking of you guys, it must be hard.
Love the silks...and so glad
Joe got to call.
Continued prayers for Joe.
How are you feeling, how many weeks are you now?
Have a great week.
I'm so glad that you guys were able to talk to Joe. I can only imagine Kayla's excitement.
Have fun at the maze :)
The play silks sound like so much fun. I'll have to think about getting Micah one. And the scrubs would be too cute - I'm looking forward to pictures. Micah's daddy wears scrubs to work so I'll have to do that for Halloween some year.
Have fun at the maze. I can't wait to see the pics from it and from the scrubs. So glad you all got to talk to Joe!
Just catching up today.
Have a fun trip to the maze!
Can't wait to hear about your corn maze and pumpkin patch. We also went to one today. It was a blast. I will post pics later this week!
Glad you got to talk to hubby :)
I'm so glad you had a chance to chat with Joe! Sounds like you had a really great week. Thanks for sharing.
Awww I am so glad that Kayla is enjoying the play silk!!
w00t for talking with Joe that must have been so wonderful.
O.K. I know what "grain of gratitude" you are celebrating this morning! I can't believe I'm going to root for the Sox for the first time in history. But for you, I can't help but want them to win. That's how your heart feels for a friend. :) Congratulations! And on the rest of your list as well.
