Mommy Talk

Mommy Talk questions for May 7:

How much weight did you gain (w/picture if you are you brave enough!)
What did you like MOST about pregnancy?
What did you like the LEAST?

I gained about 18 pounds, which doesn't seem right because I ate all the time! Here are some pictures:

32 weeks

34 weeks

36 weeks - perfect picture of that linea nigra!

38 weeks and 4 days. Last picture before Kayla was born - 2 days later!

What I liked most about being pregnant - just being pregnant! I loved, loved, loved feeling the movement. I could just sit for hours with my hands on my belly feeling her move around. I was constantly in awe that there was this little tiny human being growing in there!

What I liked least - not a whole lot (as I mentioned previously I had a rather uneventful pregnancy!) I could do without those leg cramps though!

Aww! Such good preggy pics! Isn't it amazing how quickly your body (and the baby) changes and grows during that last months or so?!

You had the perfect baby belly! I do love feeling the baby move around too, I think it truly is one of the best gifts God gave us mothers!

Great belly shots. I loved taking pics of my belly - I have them every 2 weeks through both pregnancies. There is nothing better than feeling those kicks and wiggles.

Wow! Great pics. I loved being pregnant too. Athough when I show my pics like these to the kids they go EWWW, mom!!!! ha that's cause they're 11 and 14. The 9 year old still sees the magic in the baby growing inside.

Your too adorable! Those are great belly pictures ... I miss the movement already!!! Wearing him in the sling is so not the same, but at least he is close!

The worst bit [with each of them] was the last six weeks when although I was humungeous, my real stomach was squished to the size of a walnut, always hungry and zero capacity.
Best wishes

You did have ther cutest baby belly! And if I remember correctly, you didn't even get stretch marks cuz as Joe told me he rubbed lotion on your tummy all the time for you. I loved being pregnant too. Yeah the leg cramps weren't fun, but just feeling the baby moving inside me and knowing how much love went into making both babies; I always felt so wonderful. Fat, but wonderful. I gained 27 and 24 pounds respectively.

I love the picture at 34 weeks, with the heart. My one regret while I was pregnant, I didnt take any belly shots...not one. Maybe next time, if there is a next time.

Funny - I just posted a pregnancy photo on my blog a couple of days ago.

I gained about 25 pounds and I loved everything about being pregnant. Everything. It was such a joy. My least favorite part was probably having very vivid dreams, including several in which my husband made me so mad that I woke up (and stayed) angry at him for a few hours. Once I even woke up and reached over and socked him in the arm! What an unpleasant way to be woken up!

He's a patient man.

Anyhoo, I'm so happy you captured your belly during your pregnancy. I had my mother take photos, but they aren't as cute. I can't believe I was that huge because I didn't feel like it!

What a gorgeous post. You do sound so lovely and I am still praying for you guys and have a feeling that good news is not too far away! On being pregnant, the first time I hated it. I was one of these women who was sick morning, noon and night from 6-25 weeks, chronically sick. Then Hospitalised with high b/pressure and induced at 36weeks. My son was very wee! This created some fear of pregnancy but we felt in faith that God would be with us and my second pregnancy was so different - no morning sickness, just feeling a bit blah the first 12 weeks. I have to say I did not enjoy pregnancy either time, but was on a high as soon as my babies were born. Kind of like pre-natal depression or blues, but really over the moon once they were with me.

My sister in law lost her second baby, a girl just 4 days before her 1st birthday, heart problems and other complications which mean't most of her life was spent in Hospital, the great news is that she is now having another baby and all is well. Will be a welcome brother for her daughter who is nearly 5.

You were pretty small with Kayla. I was small like that with Tiffany. I didn't gain so much. After I had Tiffany my weight was less from before i had her. I didn't get any stretch mark from her and my stomach went flat after i had her. Of course you remember how I looked when i was pregnant with your godchild. You took the picture. The only time being pregnant was hard for me was with gary. the way he lay in me at the end I could hardly breathe. I had to sleep sitting up. when he would kick it would hurt.My husband felt him kick and he said wow. I told him imagine him inside you. we knew we were in for a busy little boy!
love ya,
mimi

I used to hate pregnant women like you who had beautiful pregnancies. LOL! I had the worst. Morning sickness that lasted all day for the entire 9 months and even during labor really stunk. You did look great!

I know what you mean about loving everything, I was the same way :) I didn't think I was that big tho, but others said I was...I weighed less when I had Nathaniel than when I got pregnant with him...just couldn't eat...wish I was like that now :p

You were adorable. And smart to take these photos. We didn't do that and I wish we had.

I forgot about the leg cramps. How on earth could I forget about the leg cramps...they were awful!

It's so fun to look at those photos and know that huge bump is Kayla. :-)

What a cute little belly you had! I'd have taken lots of pictures during pregnancy too, if I'd looked like that. ;-)

You inspired me to put up my own pregnancy belly post. I even managed to find a picture of me smiling, but it wasn't easy since my weight gain in the pictured pregnancy was 55 lbs (and not my biggest gain, either).

Those are wonderful pictures--I never did do the bare belly pictures--I wish, now, that I did. Yours are so cute--especially the heart. You look taller than I imagined.
