Slow Cooker Thursday
Cranberry Baked Apples
4 large cooking apples
1/3 C packed brown sugar
1/4 C dried cranberries
1/2 C cran-apple juice cocktail
2 Tbsp butter, melted
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
chopped nuts, if desired
1. Core apples. Fill centers of apples with brown sugar and cranberries. Place apples in slow cooker.
2. Mix cran-apple juice and butter; pour over apples. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
3. Cook on low heat setting 4-6 hrs or until apples are tender.
4. To serve, spoon apples into dessert dishes. Spoon sauce over apples. Sprinkle with nuts.

Oh yum. We'll have to give this one a try. Made a yummy bacon chicken recipe in the crock pot yesterday. I love crock pots!!!

I swear, Michelle, I must be the last dinosaur roaming the earth who never thinks to make a dessert in her slow cooker. What a great idea and this sounds absolutely delicious.
