Slow Cooker Thursday

Pot au Feu (I don't know what that means, the recipe just sounds good! Ok I just looked it up and it's a French dish of boiled meats and vegetables - simple enough!)
6 pounds boneless beef stewing cubes
2 Polish kielbasa or other smoked sausage
1 (1.5 oz) envelope brown gravy mix
2 (16 oz) bags frozen vegetables for soup or stew
1 (14 oz) can beef broth
2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
The directions don't say to brown the beef in a skillet first, but I always do that before I place it in the slow cooker. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker and stir well. Cook on low-heat for 10 hrs or high-heat for 5 hrs. Makes about 5 quarts.

Well I was finally forced to switch to the new blogger. So if I'm in your bloglines, no I don't have 25 or so new posts :)

When I saw 25 beside your name on my bloglines I thought geez she's got lots to say this morning! hehe Looks like everyone is being forced to switch lately! As long as you don't use their "customize", you don't have to change the look of your blog at all. That recipe sure does sound delish...I need to get my crock pot out!! Hugs xox

You came up as 26 on my blogline feeds. Thought maybe you were writing a book:) The recipe looks yummy and easy. My meat lovers would love this one.

I'm going to have to make this not only because it sounds delicious, but because the name sounds "fancy"
:) Maybe it will class up my menu!

Hooray, you made it over to the other side of Blogger in one piece. I was nervous about switching myself. I do love the labeling option though! :)

This recipe sounds good. I'll have to try it. Thanks for sharing!

Also, thanks for taking the time to comment on my WFMW 10 Reasons Why Parents Should Not Spank post. That's cute that Kayla says, "ding" when the timer is done and she can get up from her timeout spot.

This sounds yummy! I love all these recipes because they make me want to actually pull out my crock pot and start making something besides beef and veggie soup! ;)

Blessings!

Ooh, this looks scrumptious! We are big meat eaters and this looks so good with all the various kinds in it! More and more I am regretting giving my crock pot to my son! lol
