Grains of Gratitude

Here are the 5 things from the past week I'm grateful for:

1. School started back up! Of course now Monday is a holiday, but still! Kayla was so excited to get on the bus again.

2. MOPS also started back up. Our first MOPS of the year is the annual "Pamper Day" - I got my eyebrows waxed, my hair trimmed, and my back massaged - grateful indeed!

3. Friends of ours were gone over the holiday for just about 2 wks. Joe went over to their house to feed their cat and check their mail. He usually brought Kayla so they stayed and gave the cat some attention - Kayla had fun doing that! Last week they came over with a thank-you card a gift card to Applebees for us. They were so grateful for us (Joe/Kayla - I had nothing to do with it!) watching their house/feeding their cat. It wasn't that big of a deal as they live behind us. The card also said they would be more than happy to watch Kayla for us. So I'm grateful that they were so grateful and now Joe and I can have dinner out and Kayla can over to their house and play with their kids. Which she would prefer anyway because she's not a restaurant-type kid!

4. Grateful for 70% off sales at JC Penney - plus a 15% coupon! I was able to go on Friday and get a few things I needed.

5. Grateful for hugs and kisses from Kayla and Joe!

Isn't being pampered a wonderful thing? hehe We have neighbours who are gone often and they always ask me to pick up their mail and just watch their house...they always get me a wonderful little gift as a thank you, no matter how many times I tell them I don't want anything! Hope you and Joe can enjoy that "date" sometime soon:-) Hugs xox

Ooh, lots of grateful things that are super nice this week. Nice that the big yellow bus brightens Kayla's day! lol A little pampering does it for Mommy. Always nice to do something for someone else and in turn find a sitter! lol

I'm always saying, "who needs Wally World when you have clearance racks at the mall"! lol

Wow! Five great things to be grateful for, Michelle. How nice of your neighbors to "thank" you in such a nice way for doing something I'm sure Joe and Kayla expected no thanks at all for. Good neighbors help each other without expecting thanks so a "date night" is a nice surprise, I'm sure.

And that sale at Penny's? That would have been my #1. Now THAT'S a sale! :-)

This is so sweet! I love Applebees. I had my granddaughter this weekend so didn't get much done with blogging at all so am behind...again. I use to enjoy MOPS so much. Love the Pampering Day idea...we should do this for Women's Ministry as well.

Hugs!
