A couple of memes

Eden at Air Force Family tagged me for this quick book meme. I've done it before, but there is a different book by me so it'll be a different answer.

Here are the rules:
1. Grab the book closest to you.
2. Open to page 123, go down to the fourth sentence.
3. Post the text of the following 3 sentences on your blog.
4. Name the author and book.
5. Tag three people of your own.

He says, "We can't go on living like this." That wakes her up most of the way, because it scares her. What is he saying?

That is from Lisey's Story by Stephen King. I've finished that book; the one I'm currently reading is The Pact by Jodi Picoult, but King's book was the closest one to me.

I'll tag Overwhelmed, Chelle, and DeAnna

I was also tagged by Amy for this meme about my blog:

1. Do you like the looks and content of your blog? Yes I love the header that Sandra created and the layout/color scheme that Rebecca fixed up for me to go with it. I guess I better like the content since I'm the one responsible for it!

2. Does your family know about your blog? Yes, but only my mom and MIL comment.

3. Can you tell your friends about your blog? I can and I do, only 2 IRL friends read (that I know of because they leave comments - hi Nisa and Michelle!)

4. Do you just read the blogs of those who comment on your blog? No, but I don't comment on all the blogs I read either.

5. Did your blog positively affect your mind? I don't think my mind was negatively affected before I started my blog.

6. What does the number of visitors to your blog mean? That they must like my blog or they wouldn't come back!

7. Do you imagine what other bloggers look like? Not usually, I'm not good at that, besides a lot of bloggers have their pictures posted.

8. Do you think blogging has any real benefit? It keeps my friends and family (the ones who read anyway) updated on our life and more specifically on Kayla. I also hope another benefit is changing people's perspectives about indviduals with Down syndrome, maybe they walk away after reading about Kayla thinking, that's not so bad after all! She's pretty typical when you think about it!

9. Do you think that the blogosphere is a stand alone community separated from the real world? No because we all have real lives and we do live in the "real world."

10. Do some political blogs scare you? Do you avoid them? Yes and yes

11. Do you think criticizing your blog is useful? Well who is doing the criticizing? If it's constructive it's useful.

12. Have you ever thought what would happen to your blog in case you died? No I've never given that any thought! Guess I better let Joe know what the password is and how to publish a post!

13. Which blogger has had the greatest impression on you? Every blogger I read has a great impression or I wouldn't read them!

14. Which blogger do you think is the most similar to you? I'm not really sure!

15. Name a song you want to listen to. Nothing in particular!

For this one I'll tag: Pastor Mac's Ann, Carole, and Janeen

Very interesting! I'm so jealous that you have real life people commenting - I have a few reading but they are silent...

Awe, What a good sport! Enjoyed both of your meme's. Thought you especially used good evasive maneuvers in the second one! lol Some of those questions are just silly! :)

I just recently read a book by Jodi Picoult too...
I love your blog. It's a great way for me to get to "watch" Kayla grow since I'm so far away and a great way for me to see what you're up to. I always look forward to seeing what new/funny thing she has learned/said/done. She's such a sweeetie and with your blog I get to laugh and cry and worry and laugh some more right along with you.
love you.

I think NORMAL people probably don't think about what would happen to their blogs if they died. So of course I'm NOT normal because I gave Rob my password AND instructions about what to tell people if I croak. A long time ago. I did. I thought about it.

Sigh.
