Slow Cooker Thursday

Butterscotch Fondue
Dipping fruit, berries, cake, or brownies in this rum-laced confection is a completely luscious pleasure.

2 14-ounce cans sweetened condensed milk
2 C packed brown sugar
1 C butter; melted
2/3 C light corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 C rum or milk
Apple slices, fresh whole strawberries, cubed sponge cake, and/or cubed brownies

In a slow cooker stir together all the ingredients except the rum or milk. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 3 hrs (do not cook on high-heat setting). Whisk in rum or milk until smooth. Keep warm on low-heat setting for up to 2 hrs, stirring occasionally.
