Except for the first line this prayer could be for anyone really, and not specifically for a military spouse. It's a beautiful prayer:
Prayer for the Military Wife
Dear God, I am proud to be wed to one who defends freedom and peace. My challenges are many and I pray for your love and guidance to meet them. Special to me are the symbols representing my religion, country, community, and home. I pray for the wisdom and grace to be true to their meanings. You are the symbol of my religious beliefs and the source of my strength. Because my life is full of change, I cherish the solid and constant spiritual foundation that you provide. Help me Lord, to be an example of your teachings. My national flag represents freedom. Let me never forget, or take for granted, the hope it shows to the world. Bless those who have made sacrifices for freedom. Please grant us your continued blessings, increased strength and infinite guidance, as we live to your honor and glory. Amen.

I forgot to mention it, but I'm participating in NABLOPOMO - National Blog Posting Month. You post something for everyday in Nov. I didn't "sign up" on this list in time, so I guess I'm not an official participant, but I am participating! I know a few other bloggers doing this too - This Is Me, Reflections and Musings and The Imperfect Christian. Anyone else out there taking part?

I'm unofficially taking part in that I always post every day - I know a couple of other bloggers who are taking part officially, too.
bah hum bug! I used to post everyday and buckled under the pressure. I like my carefree blogging life of every other day or so ... Good Luck to you and everyone else though :D
That is a wonderful prayer.
Becca - I post almost every day too, so I figured this was something I could "participate" in! :)
Chelle - I know what you mean about the pressure - when I first saw this idea I thought "like I need to feel more pressure to post every day!" But I do almost now anyway, and if I don't end up doing it every day then oh well!
I have been telling myself every week "okay, I'm not going to post on Sundays" and what do I end up doing! hehe!
It is a nice challenge Michelle; I do like that I can count on certain people posting, you being one of the more steady ones! Kind of like counting on that store opening or that first cup of coffee being there! lol
Would love to participate but with going to Disney and my Sil's would be tough this month.
HUGS!
Happy Vetern's Day! Beautiful poem.
BTW, I loved the spiced wine toddy recipe.
What a beautiful prayer....Love prayers.I dont know if I could post everyday......LOL
Yeah...now I know there will be a new post every day. I probably take part, since I mostly post every day (not just in November though!)
Oh man I wish I had the time to do this it would be fun but Chase is keeping me on my toes lately.
That was a nice poem, Thank you for sharing it.
No, but I've seen lots of people doing it. Good luck.
What a wonderful prayer. I know when my Father used to go on TDY to Vietman, Korea or wherever it was so hard on her. My dh is a Vietnam Vet...I am so blessed that is behind us and I pray for the military wives of today.
Thank you for sharing!

Such a beautiful prayer...I can't even imagine how hard it must be to be a military wife, especially when your loved ones go to war or as a peacekeeper. I should have joined that post a day thingie since I post every day! lol
