Taking after daddy

Anytime I'm baking any type of goody I always have to leave the bowl and spoon for Joe to "clean up."

On Monday Kayla saw me at the kitchen counter stirring and stirring. She ran to the dining room and started pulling a chair from the table trying with all her might to drag it in to the kitchen...guess I didn't ask her first if she wanted to help...shame on me!

She helped me finish stirring and after I poured the batter into the pan I put the spoon back in the bowl and she immediately picked it up and started "cleaning" it off for me.

Kayla is just too darn sweet! I wish Shaylee would be more interested in what i'm doing in the kitchen. She also likes to help "clean" the spoon.

Thank you for the Birthday card you sent Shaylee! Maybe some day we can get together. Maybe Next year at the Buddy Walk in NYC, lol!

Licking the bowl, spoon and beaters were big hits when I was growing up too. How cute. Didn't take her long to figure that out at all!

She takes after her aunt kelly too!! :) She sure learns "fast" :)
Joe has to be so proud teaching Kayla the important things in life!! Those life long lessons turn our hum drum day into a "yummy", lip smackin spoon kinda of day... love mom... love the pics.. and she knows exactly what she is doing....

LOL I remember licking the spoon after my mom would finish stirring a cake icing or whipping cream...I was all insulted when she started letting my boys lick the spoon instead of me after they were born!! hehe Precious pictures of Kayla...I think daddy lost his licking the spoon job! lol Hugs!

I am afraid that the baking spoon usually doesn't get any further than the cook in our house.

I loved seeing this. My Little Guy is my kitchen helper, too. Good language environment. Having sugar there helps keep him around for more "lessons", too. ;)
