Treasure Tuesday

My treasure this week is Blogger...yes you read that right...Blogger!

First of all it makes it easy for me to keep our family and friends updated on what's happening in our lives, or more importantly, Kayla's life!

Second of all it's been a great outlet to "meet" so many other fun, neat and interesting bloggers!

Yesterday I actually got to meet one of those bloggers face to face! Lucky me! Overwhelmed just happened to be in my neck of the woods this week for her job. When I first saw her post over the weekend about coming this way I was excited about the possibility of meeting her (after all, what are the chances anyone would find themselves here in Alamogordo?!).

For those of you who read her blog on a regular basis you know she's a private person and doesn't give much information away! So after my initial excitement my next thought was, I wonder if she'll even want to get together? Then as I was telling Joe about her coming here I said, "I don't even know her first name!"

We did talk yesterday (and I now know her name, I didn't have to call her "Overwhelmed or OW" while we were talking!) and we went out for a nice dinner at Memories. A quaint, local restaurant best known for their delicious baked potato soup!

Kayla was being a typical toddler at dinner ... throwing things on the floor, trying to climb out of her seat, etc. I keep telling myself, "this stage will pass," but she (OW) didn't seem to be phased by Kayla's antics as she has a toddler too!

It was wonderful getting to meet her "in real life", getting to know her name, and getting to know a little bit more about her! We're getting together again tomorrow so I'm sure I'll have more to post about our visit!

Oh, I'm trying to treasure Blogger today, but its not making it easy for me! Argh! I have photos I'd desperately love to upload and can't.... you guys sounds like you had such a terrific time!

I wasn't at all phased by Kayla's antics because Snuggle Bug does the same things. No worries!

I'm looking forward to seeing you both again tomorrow morning!

Thanks for reminding me to appreciate blogger, Michelle. Blogger isn't my best friend right now. My Tuesday Treasure has been ready to go for three days and blogger won't let me upload my photo. So it may be NEXT Tuesday before it appears because I'm not posting it without.that.photo!

So glad you and OW got to mirl. (meet in real life) How fun for you. I really enjoy both your sites. And who'd want to be friends with anyone who couldn't tolerate a toddler. That would really narrow the field of friends down to zilch in my opinion.

Cool! There are so many bloggers I would love to meet. They just seem like the kind of people I'd like to have a latte with!

Being in Canada, I probably won't meet many or any though, but it's nice to dream!

Isn't it amazing the friends you make online. My really good friend (who lives 5 minutes from me), I met online.

Kayla sounds so much like Aviva at that age. It does get easier.

Enjoy today!

Wow, that's great that you two got to meet. I've really started appreciating blogger lately as well- it's an easy way for me to watch Kayla grow.

Isn't it great when you can meet in person with your internet friends. Through the years I've meet some of mine and it is always so much fun. It surprises me when I meet fact to face with these people how comfortable we are and how it's like we've been friends forever and just saw each other yesterday.

That's so cool. I was telling OW! about a post over at Shannon's (Rocks in my Dryer) where it was actually discussed what to call "meeting a blog buddy in real life". After much discussion, the term "to mirl" was decided upon (meet in real life). So you could mirl someone, or someone could be mirlish. =)
Thanks for stopping by to check out my treasure today. =)

That would be really fun to meet some of my bloggy friends. Too bad the world these days makes anonymity so important.
