Recipe Exchange

I enjoy trying out new recipes - especially ones that are fast, easy and only have a maximum of 5 ingredients!

So I'm participating in Overwhelmed's Five Ingredients Friday

I found this recipe years ago in (I think) in a Betty Crocker cookbook. I don't remember the exact name of this dish, but it's something like "Hot Chicken Salad" so that's what I call it!

Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1 C of mayo
1 C of sour cream
1 C of chopped celery
1 Tbsp of mustard

Directions
Brown chicken in about 1 tbsp of butter until no longer pink
Add mayo, sour cream and mustard; stir to mix well and coat
Add celery and stir well
Simmer over low heat until heated through - about 5-10 minutes.

I usually season with Italian seasoning and serve over rice (which is optional so I hope that doesn't count against me as more than 5 ingredients!)

Enjoy!

Michelle, this sounds yummy! I'll have to try that one night soon.

And no, the optional Italian seasoning and rice doees not count against you! :)

Thanks for participating in Five Ingredients Friday!

Is this the recipe for what you called "Chicken Stuff" back in '96?
It was totally yummy and I hate mustard and celery!!

Yep! Since I forgot the "official" name I just started calling it chicken stuff- but I think it was closer to hot chicken salad! :)
