For those of you who used to read the journal I kept on the family website you'll understand where I'm coming from.

I've mentioned before a certain board where members have terminated for medical reasons and how some of the things they say are just, well, beyond me! The latest "flare-up" over there happened because a couple of posters are trying to justify their decisions by saying they lurk on the down syndrome board and there is so much hardship, suffering, surgeries etc that it made their decision for them...give me a break!

Anway the above link puts into words what I feel - I just don't know how to write it quite so well :)

Edited to add: I did want to say if you actually read the full "petition" that's out there I don't necessarily agree with all of it...I think they went a little overboard in some of what they wrote. I just wanted to say the post by Pajama Mama was wonderfully written.
