Yesterday I posted the
outtakes of photographs from the photo shoot Kayla participated in for the
National Military Family Association. The photo shoot was for the pamphlet
Toolkit About Military Kids.The pamphlet has 10 headings accompanied by photographs of kids who have a parent currently serving on active duty. Each heading talks about something military kids would like you to know about life in the military and/or having a parent deployed.
This is the front of the pamphlet.
When you open it up the first thing you see smack dab in the middle is #1:
Pride.
Yep, there is my girl! Oh, and Joe too, in the photo frame!
I feel my own sense of pride seeing my husband and daughter in this publication. Kayla - just another military kid!

One of my friends sent me to your site (Bonita) when she heard that our little girl (also with Ds) had been dx with celiac's. We are just starting this journey and are actually just learning. (Long story short - the dr believes that she is in the very beginning and has no symptoms. Told us we could wait 6mos to go GF to test again to be absolutely sure it is CD. I'm pretty sure it is, but would be nice to know beyond a shadow of a doubt, kwim?)
If you have any advice or words of wisdom for me, I would love to hear it. Encouragement too. I know we can do this, but it seems a bit overwhelming at times to add in one more thing.
