Alphabet Song

Several weeks ago Lucas started singing the Alphabet Song in its entirety. Now he sings it all.the.time. Out of nowhere he'll start singing in the house, in the store, in the van, and in bed.

I'm sure many of you are familiar with the Leap Frog letter magnets? The one that goes "The A says ah ..." and also sings the Alphabet Song. Except at the end of the song it doesn't say the verse, "Now I know my ABCs ..." When Lucas plays that he'll tell me "Him didn't say now I know mine ABCs, next time won't you sing with me." I'll tell him, "no that one doesn't do it." and Lucas will say, "But I want him to say now I know mine ABCs next time won't you sing with me."

And "mine" isn't a typo. He says "mine" instead of "my". (He also says "that's yours and that's mines.")

I know his little voice will change before I know it; so I had to capture it in this moment. How he sounds right now singing his ABCs.

OMG LOVE! M does the same thing. That's her jam! I always wonder if she's getting way confused over different versions of standard kid songs. Yesterday, the ST sang Wheels on the Bus a different way and M did not look pleased. And then, on a toy we have, it says, "next time won't you sing with...Elmo!" That doesn't sit right with her either. Ha!

We're raising some kids that love to see themselves on video, aren't we? :)
