Lawry's Review and Giveaway

Winner is KNTSMOM - congrats!

Lawry's recently conducted a survey that found your choice of flavor says more about you than you think. The nationwide poll looked at preferences for tart, spicy, sweet, and savory flavors and found that your choice can reveal some interesting aspects of your personality.

Here are some of the results:
Tart flavors - tend to be extremely happy overall, an extrovert who loves to entertain, join in social events in your communities, and active on greatest number of social networking sites.

Spicy flavors - tend to be confident and adventurous with a passion for travel and cooking. Biggest risk taker; impulsive, but not reckless. Tend to be resourceful and analytical.

Sweet flavors - home and family life close to your heart. The kindest and most loyal and also the most modest. Influenced by parents, enjoy family entertainment and are spiritual.

Savory flavors - enthusiasm for politics, enjoy camping and hiking, love outdoor barbecue and American cuisine. Tend to be more introverted and often describe yourself as a homebody.

So what do you think? Does your favorite flavor fit and the description of the personality type fit you?

I regularly use Lawry's Seasoned Salt (especially on french fries and hash browns), but haven't really tried their other products...until recently.

Lawry's recently introduced some new products - 2 marinades (Szechuan Sweet & Sour BBQ, Tuscan Sun Dried Tomato with Minced Garlic & Olive Oil) and 4 seasoning mix packets (Asian Style Beef & Broccoli, Chimichurri Burrito Casserole, Mediterranean Sun Dried Tomato Garlic and Chicken, Tuscan Style Chicken Marsala with Garlic and Basil.

We tried the Tuscan Sun Dried Tomato marinade over some chicken which Joe then grilled. I used the Mediterranean Sun Dried Tomato seasoning mix over chicken in a slow cooker, and made Mexican lasagna using the recipe on the back of the Chimichurri Burrito seasoning mix. The marinade and mixes were really tasty with the right amount of flavor added to the meals. It wasn't too intense and they made cooking dinner easy on those rushed nights.

I haven't used the other marinade or seasoning mixes as they do contain wheat ... so I'll either need to make Kayla something else for dinner, or I'll use those in a dish to bring to MOPS or Bunco or some function like that.

I have a Lawry's "What's Your Flavor" gift pack to give away to one winner. The gift pack includes the 4 seasoning mixes, 2 marinades, a bottle of Seasoned Salt, large glass marinating dish, and a set of skewers.

To enter just leave a comment (making sure I have a way to contact you if you're the winner) telling me what your favorite flavor is - tart, sweet, savory, spicy ... and if the findings in the Lawry's survey about personality seem to match with your own personality.
The products in the "What's Your Flavor" gift pack were provided to me, and 1 winner, by Lawry's in conjunction with My Blog Spark.

It's weird - depending on my mood, I like all those flavors, and the parts of each description describe my overall personality to a T. So I guess Lawry's got it right :) That and I'm a Gemini, I'm allowed to have multiple personalities!

I am sweet all of the way. It surprised me because I would not have thought that was what I would have been.

I actually like spicy but have to say that I don't really agree with the personality. I don't think i'm impulsive or confident for that matter. I do like to cook when I get a chance and I'd love travel too if we ever get the chance. So I guess half of it is right....

I would love to win. Spicy. Yep, they got it right. Love to cook and travel. I would send this to our daughter who is working/living on a 500 acre organic farm with adults who are disabled. She is slowly learning to cook and this would be perfect.

I'm both sweet and spicy, but I like all the flavors! Lawry's was right.

Thanks for the chance to win.
