This I Believe

My daughter has a right to be included in all aspects of society; this I believe
My daughter has the right to a free and public education; this I believe
My daughter has the right to be educated in an inclusive environment, where all students benefit from the experience; this I believe
My daughter has every right to be born; this I believe
My daughter is living a full and happy life; this I believe
My daughter has the right to be gainfully employed in a meaningful job position; this I believe
My daughter has the right to live as independently as she is able; this I believe
My daughter has many abilities; this I believe
My daughter can be a great friend to your child, if given the opportunity; this I believe
Down syndrome is not something to fear; this I believe
People with Down syndrome are more alike than different; this I believe
My daughter does not suffer from Down syndrome; this I believe
My daughter can learn, but some things will take a little longer; this I believe
My daughter is not a burden to our family, or to society; this I believe
My daughter has Down syndrome, it does not have her; this I believe
Down syndrome is a part of my daughter, but does not define all of who she is; this I believe
My daughter likes to do a lot of the same things your child enjoys; this I believe
