Banana Splits for a Cause & Giveaway

Cheryl from The Lucky Ladybug is the winner - congrats!

Electrolux and Kelly Ripa have teamed up yet again to bring awareness about Ovarian cancer. Each day you build a virtual banana split Electrolux will donate $1 to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF). How easy is that to contribute to something so worthwhile? Electrolux has committed to donate $750,000.

You'll also be entered to win the daily prize of $50 towards sweet summer treats and the grand prize of a new stand-alone refrigerator and freezer.

My banana split consisted of 2 scoops of strawberry and 1 scoop of vanilla, chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, cherries and a sparkler, topped off with whipped cream of course!

Nothing says summer like a delicious banana split ... so hurry up and go make your own virtual banana split, and don't forget that by doing so you'll also be donating $1.00 to the OCRF. Then leave a comment on this post for your chance to win a $25 American Express gift card! Just leave a comment with what your favorite ice cream flavors and banana split toppings are & make sure I have a way to contact you if you're the winner.

~~~
By participating in this Mom Select campaign I received 2 gift cards; one for myself and one to give away.
Yum! I did strawberry and chocolate fudge - love the two together! Plus chocolate syrup, sprinkles, whipped cream, and a sparkler! Gotta do it right!
Fun! :)
I read this blog ALL the time (initially found it through My Special Ks and Love That Max). I am a college student who will be working at a speech camp with children, some of whom have DS :)
This caught my eye just because my friend's mother had ovarian cancer and wasn't able to have any more children because of that. Yikes :(
I had a blue bowl (love blue!), with chocolate (1st), vanilla (2nd), 3rd strawberry, chocolate sauce, and nuts. Then cherries with a sparkler.
(Would I really eat ALL of that in real life, though? Doubtful.... I'd go with just the vanilla, cherries, banana, and nuts. Haha.)
Thanks for all your helpful tips on saving!
I made a banana split online, but my REAL favorite ice cream flavors are pistachio plus pineapple and raspberry sorbet -- and banana split toppings are almonds, pecans, and walnuts :) *Thanks* for the giveaway!
I like vanilla ice cream. I love chocolate, but for some reason do not like chocolate ice cream at all. Must have nuts and a cherry on top!
Thanks for the chance.
