Special Exposure Wednesday

5 Minutes for Special Needs

So I'm sure you've heard we've got a bit of snow in these parts; yeah just a bit! And we're currently in the midst of our second blizzard in less than a week.

In between the 2 blizzards we've managed to get outside for some snow fun.

The last time we had snow and went sledding I didn't last too long going up and down the hill; especially having to carry Lucas back up the hill. This time the snow is even deeper so I knew they would only be able to slide a few times before we would have to call it quits.

So the solution to be able to let them slide for a longer period of time without falling over from exhaustion ... tie a rope to the sled and pull them back up the hill...while still standing at the top of the hill. We may not have burned as many calories as walking up and down the hill, but we got a good arm workout!

What a great mom you are. My kids say it's too cold, and I say, okay!

Stay safe and warm.

You people have entirely too much fun and I'm so glad you share it with us. What a witty invention for sledding. Those pictures are some of my favorite ones you've ever posted.

Hope you survive all the snow. :) Great idea to use the rope and pull them back up. Conserve energy any way you can!

It can start melting any day, right? LOL. We built a tunnel too ... that was about all that worked since the snow was too deep to walk in!
