1st Day of School

Kayla started school yesterday...boy was she ever excited! She couldn't wait to get her backpack on and go wait for the bus.

Joe almost didn't get a picture of her going on the bus because she was so quick to scramble up the steps!

She just loves riding the bus...it's probably her favorite part about going to school!

I do have to admit to being a little bit sad that she's not going off to 1st grade this year; even though I know it was the best decision for her to have another year of Kindergarten.

She didn't get the teacher she had last year, even though I requested her, but the teacher she has is right across the hall and she has Celiac Disease - so at least she already knows what foods Kayla can and can't have!

Looking forward to a great year of learning and growing and making new friends!

Oh Michelle! This post make me all misty! Kayla looks so cute in her little school gear and outfit. I wonder if Gabe could take the bus next year and be okay with it?

Oh, that all kids were as excited about the first day of school! She's cute as a button and I'm glad she excited about her new school year and the bus.

She looks adorable. Maybe it will be better for her to have a different teacher this year--new perspective, new style.

I hope she has a great year.

I love the pics. I think that you will find that you did the right thing when you see her progress this year! There are pros and cons to same teacher or different- sometimes it feels like a varied experience, like a new year to have a new teacher!

She's so cute with her little pigtails! Don't backpacks look so huge on little kids? I thought Little Bear would tip over backwards this morning with her great big backpack!
