After mentioning, over 2 months ago, that
Lucas' hair was kinda long I finally went and got it cut. It really was looking scraggly over his ears and in the front. I could even put barrettes in it...he would have been a cute girl.
He kept almost perfectly still while she was cutting his hair. When she got too close to the front of him he put his head down a little and kept his eyes down as if saying "I'm not going to look at you, I'm not watching what you're doing to me" and he kept his brow furrowed the whole time.
I need to find the picture of Kayla's first hair cut - because I think she's making almost this same face - it's like they are both a little teed off at getting a haircut!
I think it's a little too short and she made it kinda choppy in the front...and I miss running my fingers through the hair that was at the nape of his neck. It's not silky smooth anymore...he doesn't look like my baby anymore.
That first haircut always makes them look like such toddlers doesn't it!?

He does look a little teed ;) I love the haircut. He looks so cute. But you're right. The first haircut kind of takes away that babiness and that I don't like. I want to keep them little forever (well, almost). They grow too fast.

This brought back memories of Kaleb's (he's the one who just graduated high school this year) first haircut. He sat in the chair just sobbing and crying "it hurts, it hurts". It was way funny...except that his dad was devasted, thinking the poor kid really was being tortured. lol
