Wounded Warrior Project

I was reading the blog AZ Mommy and her post on the Wounded Warrior Project caught my eye.
Part of their mission is to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women.

Her company received an email about a wounded warrior who could use some public support.

Sgt. Daniel Thornhill was wounded while serving in Iraq; he lost both his legs and was burned over half of his body.

The Wounded Warrior Project is asking for birthday cards to be sent to:
Sgt Daniel Thornhill
Fort Sam Houston Fisher House
3623 George C. Beach Rd
Fort Sam Houston, Texas 78234

A birthday card - such a simple and easy gesture to do for a wounded service member - and something that will probably brighten his day - even if just the tiniest bit.
