Making Wishes

Last night after dinner we took a walk around the neighborhood.

About half way through our walk Kayla stopped to pick a dandelion. She was about to blow on it when I said, "Wait! You have to make a wish first."

She stopped and said "I wish, I wish...(then some thinking with a serious look on her face)...a butterfly!"

I responded, "You wish for a butterfly?" Kayla's response, "YEAH!"

She then blew on her dandelion.

Wouldn't you know a few minutes later we encountered a butterfly?! And as soon as we turned around from watching that one fly off Kayla spotted another one.

Those were the only 2 butterflies we saw on the walk. Coincidence? Or the magical wish of a child?

~~~
On a more somber note - Joe's grandfather passed away very early this morning. Please say a prayer for my mother-in-law as she is dealing with all the arrangements now. Thank you.
What a sweet story - I like to believe it is a child's wish - not coincidence!
Thoughts and prayers for Joe's family.....so sorry for the loss.
Ahh, our kiddos are something magical aren't they? I do not believe either that it is coincidence. I think God listens and smiles on our children more often than we notice.
Michelle, I am so sorry to hear of Joe's Grandfather's passing. My prayers are with your family during this time of loss.
Remember me? It's so hard to get caught up with everyone again once you've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm getting there! lol
My sympathies to Joe and the family on the passing of his grandfather. Your mother in law will certainly have her hands full dealing with all the arrangements!!
A child's wish...how can God not answer those:-) xoxo
I'm sorry for the loss. Will Joe be coming home for the funeral, or will he have to miss it? I'm assuming he'll have to miss it. Yet another sacrifice.
