Haagen-Dazs Giveaway

Haagen-Dazs has a new line of ice cream - Five. These ice creams are made with only five all natural ingredients.

Skim milk, cream, sugar, egg yolks, and the 5th ingredient is the "flavor" ingredient.

There are 7 varieties of this creamy ice cream: Mint, Ginger, Brown Sugar, Passion Fruit, Coffee, Vanilla Bean, and Milk Chocolate.

Thanks to the ladies at Mom Central we were able to sample the Mint, Ginger, Passion Fruit, and Brown Sugar.

With only having 5 ingredients the flavor really comes through; it's not muted at all. We all loved the Mint, that was a big hit! Refreshing mint flavor as soon as it hit your tongue! The Passion Fruit was really good too - very nice tropical flavor. I'm planning on using it in a shake.

Lucas liked the Ginger, but it was a bit strong for the rest of us. If you really like Ginger than you'll enjoy this variety. The brown sugar was also a bit strong...I only ate a couple bites because it tasted like I was biting into a big hunk of brown sugar, so just a little bit too sweet for me. I think mixing it with vanilla ice cream would taste great, it would flavor the vanilla just a bit more and not taste so much like a hunk of brown sugar :)

I'm not a coffee drinker so I'll skip the Coffee flavor, I'm sure it'll taste just like coffee since the other flavors tasted exactly like they were! I can't wait to give the Milk Chocolate a try next!

I have 3 coupons for a free pint of Haagen-Dazs...if you'd like a chance to win just leave me a comment telling me which flavor you're most interested in trying. Winner will be drawn this weekend.

With morning sickness the only thing that really sounds like it would be pleasant would be the MINT flavor. It doesn't help that it's my favorite ice cream anyway.

Sounds delightful!

I can't believe Lucas liked the Ginger. lol!! That would seem like a strong flavor to me.

Thank you!

Vanilla bean sounds wonderful! Thank you for sharing.

On an unrelated note, how is our little Celiac girl? Was the diagnosis confirmed? How is she reacting to the change in diet? We've been praying for her!
