Sledding Fun...

Kayla's only been sledding once before and that was when she was around 2 yrs old...so she really has no memory of it.

Living in New Mexico Kayla hasn't experienced snow much at all. A couple years ago, right after Christmas, we did get about 1/2-1 inch of snow. I took Kayla in our backyard but as soon as her feet touched the snow she didn't want to walk. It seemed to freak her out a little bit; she wanted me to hold her.

I wondered how she would be with the snow we've had since we've been here...if she would be interested in getting out in it or not. My mom dug up my sister's old snowsuit and boots and Kayla finally got to shovel . First she stood on the sidewalk and just stretched her arms out and just scooped and dumped the snow from the front yard. I finally convinced her she could walk in the snow. She stuck one booted foot in, lifted it up, and was excited to see her boot print. Then she did the other foot. That was all it took and she was off running and laughing making boot prints in the snow.

Then my mom brought out an inner tube. So how did Kayla enjoy sledding for only the 2nd time in her life? See for yourself...

Every time we go back to NE for Thanksgiving or Christmas, I pray for snow. The kids really love it! :)

I can see Kayla loves snow too. :)

That's one cool innertube, Michelle. She cracked me up at the end when she tried to spit the snow out - you could see the exact moment when she realized she could just eat it instead. Cute, cute.

That is so cute! I love when she just starts eating the snow that was on her face :)

Logan is outside right now playing in the snow - it's finally been nice enough here where he can go out and play again.

I LOVE it! What a great laughter and giggle - she makes me smile :)

We enjoyed about 4" as well and though Sam was really skeptical about snow to begin with, he warmed up to it eventually. I wish we would have been well enough to play longer.
