The Children's Place

One of the downfalls to living in a smaller town is the lack of available stores to shop from (although that could also be a good thing - less money spent and more money saved!) So I haven't had much opportunity to shop in a variety of children's clothing stores.

I have shopped at The Children's Place when I happened to be in a mall that had one, so I know they have cute, good quality clothes - and especially great sales! Now that I live in an area with a store right down the street I think I'm going to be in trouble!

Kayla recently had the opportunity to test out the these cute monkey pjs - I like the colors on this set and they are very soft...they look like they are really comfy; comfy enough that it made me want a pair!

Guess what? The Children's Place has winter-themed pjs for the whole family! I had no idea they had pjs for adults! My favorite would have to be this pair - because purple is my favorite color!

They have a Win It and Where It Sweepstakes going on until Jan 18 - you could be one of 4 people to win a $1000 shopping spree; or you could win a $30 Children's Place gift card from me. To enter just go visit The Children's Place and tell me what you would buy with your gift card! As always, please make sure I have a way to contact you if you're the winner!

I'd buy jammies...my kids are growing like weeds.

I'd buy pjs for all 3 boys and some gym clothes for Will.

Purple is my favorite color, too :)

New jeans for my 6 year old. Thanks! rachelegbert@gmail.com

They have awesome pajamas, slippers and tights. I would completely stock up on those.

Sadly, I've found that the last few actual clothing items that I got from Children's Place ended up kind of disappointing. K- had a coat that she wore for 1 week, it needed laundered and after having followed the directions, I needed to sew it back together in two places. (Couldn't return it, as it was purchased the year before on sale.) We also had a piling problem with a sweater.

Here's to hoping that their quality problems were just a fluke!

I love the pleated tunic dresses, the striped stretchy jammies, and the leggings! Too many cute things to choose from!

I would definitely buy some jammies for Addy that have feet in them since she no longer has to have a feeding tube at night, we don't have to always buy jammies with no feet, now we can!! BTW, Purple is the best color ever mixed together!

I like to shop at TCP too. And like Bailey's Leaf, I find that some of their clothing can be hit and miss. I remember after one washing how terribly pilled a sweater was. So much so that I wouldn't put it on Gabe because it was scratchy.
However, I LOVE their socks, and their hoodies rock. Those hoodies can go through the hotwater wash and still stand up just fine!
When they have their 50% off the lowest price sales, I sometimes pick up terrific buys for the next years. It really helps. :)

I would buy fleece pants for Junior and some pjs.

That is easy, my girls need jeans something horrible. And I love CP jeans. They hold up so well.

I wish we had one near us. Thank goodness for online shopping.

I would buy the little stretchies. They look so comfy and movable for my little T who's on the go.

I love the hoodies and the girls' yoga shirts...great designs!

I like the colors at Children's Place. They have girl clothes in non-pastels. And boy clothes in colors besides tan/olive/navy. They have a decent selection of shoes online, too.

But I have to say, I've been disappointed in the quality lately too. I bought some of their long sleeve onesies for Abby and one of them got a hole at the seam the very first time I washed it. I'd happily spend a gift card but I don't know how much of my own money they'll be getting from now on. (Although they do have some great sale deals, those are hard to resist.)

Oh, goodness, we could be a walking ad for them. I loved their early fall line this year, and bought Samantha, like, one of everything. Then I hit their Black Friday sale and got HUGE discounts. I've had no problems with the quality, and everyone's right--their pjs are awesome.

I would buy more of the fleece hoodies for Kennedy. Have you seen them?! They are SOOO cute and comfy! I bought her the green one yesterday!

Oh, I am so getting where I love this store so I would be very happy to win. I would most likely buy Kali the daddy's heartbreaker tshirt, the stripy dot sweater dress, and one or two yoga pants.

We live near their outlet store. Lucky us :) I'd buy my oldest a new winter coat and a pair of fleece lined jeans

I love the Big Sister/Lil Sister T shirts for my girls!

Hmmm... So hard to choose.... I love most all their stuff. Normally can't afford it though, so have to buy it at yard sales. :) Which is GREAT if I find someone whose style I like. :)

I guess...right now we need pj's and tights, and my youngest needs a pair of jeans. SO that's probably what I would buy.
But, I'd LOVE to buy dresses and shoes and...:)

Playette is growing out of her jeans so I'd first get a pair of cute ones. Then, the "Daddy's Heart Breaker" t-shirt 'cause that's just too cute. I also really like the "Stripy Dot Sweater Dress."

Thanks for always having such fun giveaways!

Oh my goodness...their prices are great! Our Children's Place is about an hour away. Anyway, I would get the matching Floral Dot Tunic's for Caroline and Mattie.

Definitely the blanket sleepers for Miss Sydney. The nursery doesn't regulate temperature well and it is cold year round whether it is winter with the heat, or summer with the cold. Brrrrrr

Winter is so yesterday for me as far as clothes and I would buy some of those adorable Americana outfits for the spring. Love TCP too!

Nichole Fisher said...

I would by any of the cutie-pie in pink outfits. I particularly like the one with the stripes! I'd send it to my cousin for new baby Lila.

Amy said...

I have never heard of this before your blog and thanks for the intoduction to it. I can't wait to buy my son some of the pjs, the jeans that are up to date and he can match his 15 year old brother.
So I would buy jeans, pjs & shirts.

Oh! That Americana Floral Dress for Corinne!! I adore patriotic dresses and always search for the perfect Fourth of July dress for her...

Antalya could really use some new jeans.

Sounds like you are getting settled!! I LOVE the Children's Place - i think they are good quality clothes for a reasonable price (esp if you can find them on sale)!! I'd probably buy matching jammies for all three kiddos!!!

thanks!

I'd get one of the Valentine's Day themed outfits for my 19 month old girl. My father's birthday was on Valentine's Day and because he passed away before My daughter was born I want to celebrate his birthday by dressing her up in that way. This year money's a bit too tight to indulge so I probably won't.

Oh, I just love TCP!

I'd buy the kids more graphic T's. They are always so cute and clever.

I didn't realize they were having such a monster sale over there...the shoes alone...wow!!!

I would have to buy some decent shoes for my kiddos. I love the Valentine's accessories too!

I don't think I have ever actually purchased anything from TCP. My kids have a few hand me downs from there, but that's it. So, I went to the site with some interest in what they had.
If I had a $30 gift card, hands down, I would be buying the American floral dress for my Olivia! She is such a girly girl and she LOVES anything patriotic(and loves dresses). I could never justify paying $25 for a summer dress, but if someone gave me the money to spend, then that's different! So, that's where my money would go....a dress for Olivia(that Zoie could then wear next year!).

We love Children's Place!!! Although we've never tried their pj's I think we just might have to though, plus I've got my eye on the v neck argyle sweater that I think has Adam's name written all over it!

Ms. Kathleen said...

Oh my... For Alexys I'd buy the demin cargo pants with the butterfly graphics tee... She loves butterflies and the pink graphics tee... And I'll throw in the monkey pj's tooooooo cuttttteeee!

Thanks for entering me!

Hi Michelle, Happy New Years and welcome to the Northeast. I have not been blogging much myself and I have been meaning to send you an email to see what size clothes Lucas is wearing? Noah finally grew out of some 12 month clothes and Lucas is welcome to them. I too love Children's place, the boys cloths are very durable. They run a bit big so Noah is just starting to grow out of 12 months.

We have a good friend who lives in Rockville, MD that we visit a few times a year. Not sure where you are living in MD but I would love to meet up with you perhaps in the Spring?

Pants for a 7 year old with a size 6-7 waist and 8 length....who would have thought a boy with Down syndrome needs length on his pants?

Happy New year to you too!

I love all of their clothes but I especially like their panties so I would probably buy those for my 4 year old.

Blue is my favorite color!

Thanks!

I would most certainly get Dillon more of the cargo pants! They are perfect for him since he's so teeny!! They are a life saver since inside they have the elastic waist band that can adjust to whatever size his tummy is. What makes them perfect is the length of the pant is long enough so he doesn't look like he's wearing high waters...LOL!!!

I also LOVE their PJ's!!! He's very comfy & is actually wearing them right now:)

I would buy the knit coveralls.

My little guy has hit a major growth spurt.

Seriously he is 7 months and less than a month ago was still wearing newborn clothing (born premature so he is tiny) and today I've already had to put him in 3-6 months!!!!!

The Children's Place is truly one of my favorite places to shop! We have one in the mall just up the street from us and I was just there browsing tonight. :)

Every Christmas, I buy the kids a pair of the holiday 2-piece fleece jammies and matching slippers. I wrap up the pjs and then let the kids open one gift (the pj sets) on Christmas Eve after mass. They LOVE getting their "soft" jammies and slippers. Snuggle Bug asks to wear his soft jammies every night and is disappointed when I tell him they have to be washed first.

So, if I one, I think I'd go for the valentine pj set for Boo. :)

I'm sorry I was in Florida and missed this. I love TCP! I have 2 sets of their pj's that I got last year and I love them. So comfy. :) Most of their clothes are from there - their pants fit them both and that's hard for me to find.
