A Black Eye

Is that a black eye on Kayla?

Nah...just getting into her aunt Kelly's make-up! I'm sure that's make-up around her mouth too because she hadn't been eating anything that color and it's a little shimmery:

then I put it away before she could complete the look on the other eye

I can't even begin to tell you how much Kayla adores her aunt Kelly (my sister is 19, so she's, you know fun!) Kayla follows her around everywhere. Kelly can't even escape to take a shower without Kayla trying to go upstairs after her. I think Kelly will be glad when college starts back up at the end of the month and she won't be home as much!

Lucas was eating some dried fruit snacks and got one stuck on his nose somehow; it looks like he deliberately put it there:

your children are so adorable how do you stand it! When are you going to let Kayla wear make up for real?

That was too cute! She looks like she had the best time. That's one of my best memories, putting on makeup on my nieces...they grow too fast!;)

Wow, it really does look like a black eye ;) Glad to hear that Kayla is adjusting so well to her new school.

Lucas and his fruit snacks... Funny picture!

Carly had a few cherries over the summer and all of a sudden, she started messing with her nose. I then noticed, what I thought was blood coming from one nostril. Well, long story short, we ended up in Urgent Care. She had a cherry pit up one nostril. We couldnt dislodge it for the life of us. Luckily, she started crying just before the doc took a look and out shot the pit!! Scary, but funny too!

I totally bit into her being hurt and was so concerned. I saw the pic earlier but didn't have time to read what you wrote and I was all worried. So glad it was just makeup.

They DO start wearing makeup early nowadays! hehe She's too precious for words, as is Lucas:-) I've just caught up with your latest posts, dear Michelle, and I'm so glad that you're finally settled at your mom's. Also glad to hear that Kayla is settling in her new school well. xoxo

Boo is like that with my 11 year old niece who lives in NE. Whenever we're back home, she follows my niece around like a little puppy. Thankfully my niece is quite patient with Boo and likes to bring her into her room and give her manicures, fix her hair, and put lip gloss on her. :)

Thanks for sharing the pics of Kayla and Lucas! They're as cute as ever. :)

She should be a pro by the time you allow her to wear make-up. What age is that anyway my 10 year old wants to know?!

Lucas is getting so big!

I love when kids experiment with things - it's always so fun for them. Maybe not so much for mom, though.

Make up is just too much fun. W.W. likes to get into his older sister's make up and has returned from her room in a similar state. I think it's too cute. ;) I'm glad K and her aunt are getting along so well.
