Kayla's Conversation With Santa

Kayla had a fun phone call yesterday! She received a phone call from Santa which I scheduled from Santa Speaking .

The day before I talked to her about getting a phone call from Santa and did she want to talk to him, what they would talk about, etc. Yesterday morning I told her after school Santa was going to call her. When I picked her up from school I asked her, "who is going to call you on the phone when we get home?" She excitedly replied, "Santa!" When the phone rang at between the scheduled time I got excited and said "Kayla that's Santa calling you! Hurry it's Santa! Get the phone!" She answered, "Hi grandma" LOL

I wish she would have been more talkative during the phone call, but if you could have seen her face - she was just in awe! She was very quiet and listening intently to all he had to say. When he asked her to count to 10 she whispered instead. Thankfully she got a little more animated when she joined him for a rendition of "Jingle Bells."

There were a few times she said something other than "yeah" but I think she spoke quietly so he didn't really hear her. One time Lucas was trying to reach a book and she said "Lucas book" and "bonk" because he bonked his head. Out of the blue she just said "grandma sick" referring to my grandma who had surgery because of her broken hip (she's doing well with recovery, thanks for your prayers!). At the end she also told him "Merry Christmas. Ho ho ho." As soon as she hung up the phone she just came alive "Mommy! Santa!" I wish I had recorded her facial expression after getting off the phone - definitely priceless!

The whole experience with Santa Speaking was wonderful and easy to use. Once you order/schedule your call you fill out the form to customize it for your child. That way Santa can talk about their siblings/friends, what they want for Christmas, what they like to do, what they're learning in school, and what they're working on. For instance I mentioned she needs to work on listening when we tell her it's time to get dressed and brush her teeth. When Santa mentioned that to her she was so serious when she replied "okay."

If you're looking for something a little different then taking your child to see a "mall Santa" then try out Santa Speaking - this gives them a personalized and magical phone call that they'll remember and talk about for days; and for those kids who are terrified to sit on his lap it might be a better interaction for them to talk to him on the phone instead. I highly recommend Santa Speaking!

I have a code for one lucky reader to order a personalized phone call for their child! Since this is time-sensitive I'll have Random.org pick a number by Saturday night ... so get your comment in before then!

How fun for Kayla!! Don't bother putting my name in - my kids wouldn't pick up the phone if they knew Santa would be calling them...lol It would be a waste.

So cute! I know when Kallie was younger, and still some now, she forgets that when she is on the phone they can't see her facial expressions or her nodding her head...That sounded like fun!!

K- is not terribly fond of the sit on Santa's lap thing. She did do it for the first time this year, but she would think that the phone call was totally rockin! (Okay, can you tell that I'm a child of the 80's?!)

Thank you for sharing!

Oh, Michelle, I can just imagine her little face while she was talking to Santa on the phone. What a fabulous idea and I so wish they would have had something like that when my boys were little. They did receive letters from Santa but never a phone call! lol Now that I have a grandbaby, though, it would be an idea for her...when she's older of course! lol xoxo

This is so cute!!
I'll pass on the draw. Tristan will likely hang up on him lol and Chanelle is getting a bit old for a call from the big guy :( Tristan is a typical guy he loathes speaking on the phone. Sounds like Kayla loved it though.

So awesome! I have never heard of this before. I bet Kayla was so excited! I can just picture the look on her face. Thanks for sharing such a great giveaway. I think my girls are a little too young for this right now. Izzy's still a bit shy on the phone.

That sounds so cute but I think Alexys could be a year or two older first. She might say, "I throw up"! Ha! It was over a month ago but still free in her mind! Kids are so adorable! Hugs!
