The Mom Crowd is hosting a very exciting raffle! Bethany from The Polkadot Platypus, is in the process of adopting a little girl from Russia who has Down syndrome. Bethany and her husband will be traveling to meet their daughter within the next couple of weeks and will hopefully bring her home soon after that. As most know, adoptions can be very expensive. Hopefully this raffle will help raise funds to help with their adoption costs.
There are over $2,000 worth of prizes to give away! Each raffle ticket purchased will enter you into a drawing for all of the wonderful prizes. Raffle tickets are $5.00 each and the more raffle tickets you purchase, the more chances you will have to win these great prizes! The raffle closes on Wednesday, September 24th at midnight EST and winners will be announced on Friday, September 26th, 2008.
Some of the prizes being offered are: strollers, designer crib bedding, jewelry, designer diaper bags, etc. View all the prizes!
You can follow their adoption journey by visiting their blog: Dreaming On An Angel.

Thank you so much for helping to spread the word! We appreciate it SO much! We leave Monday! :)
I have to interject. SOME adoptions are expensive, but not all. If you adopt the children that we have here domestically in the county system, often (as in our case) the adoption costs are covered by the county. Some children, particularly in the case of our daughter, are considered special needs and those are considered hard to place. Our daughter was born cocaine positive which is what gave her a special needs status. I admit that people aren't typically clamoring to adopt a drug positive baby, but our experience has been nothing but wonderful. Give the county a try. We have all sorts of beautiful babies and children right here in our backyards that need lovin', too!
