Thirty-Five

When I was 15 I remember 35 seemed so far away, and um, so old! My how your perspective changes when you actually turn 35! I don't feel old, but I did tell Joe "it's all downhill from here!" LOL

So I said I was going to announce the winner of the backpack on my birthday (that's today!) and Laura from The Monks Quiver won - congrats Laura!

Speaking of birthdays, and giveaways, I have another prize to giveaway. The lovely ladies at Mom Select have teamed up with Precious Moments to create the Precious Moms site and I have this new Precious Moments Figurine to give away to one lucky commenter.

If you're planning an upcoming birthday party make sure you check out Precious Moms birthday planner for some great party planning tools - they have birthday party planning lists, checklists, invitations, thank-you notes, themes, and more!

I'll probably announce the winner next Friday. We're going to be gone next week - on yet another road trip (to OK this time)! Can I just say I'll be so glad after this trip is over because it means we'll be done traveling! We've taken a trip every month since May and I just want to not worry about packing and unpacking anymore LOL

I hope you have a great time on your trip. I was like that last summer--too many trips away. This summer? I feel like we're boring because we only went away once. I guess you can't win!

I know exactly what you mean about age. I don't think of 40 as particularly old, but to my oldest, it's ancient. I can't wait to remind him of that someday. He's completely appalled that people would have babies at 40. Makes me want to just for that.

I hope you have a wonderful birthday. Do you know what route through OK you are taking? I'd love to meet up along the way somewhere. If you know your path I can tell you some places right on the highway...
Don't enter me since I did the same giveaway! It is such a cute figurine though!

Happy Birthday and many more to you! I remember thinking 30 would be big, but it was totally eclipsed by Kailey's birth. When I turned 31 this year was when I realized that I had missed all the "big deal" LOL!

Have a great trip!

Happy birthday, Michelle! And, thanks for my wishes too! Funny, I thought it was downhill from thirty-five as well. But, now, at the ripe old age of thirty-eight, and having two kiddos in between, I know that it wasn't a downhill spiral. Tee Hee! Have a great day, honey~

So cute. I love precious moments. Amanda has the birthday train. We are running out of space on her shelf because we are up to TEN already.

Daniel's birthday is on Saturday. I am going to check out the site you mentioned. He hasn't shown interest in the precious moments. But he does have a couple. My favorite is 'Fishers of Men'.

How do I enter the contest?

Love Theresa

Oh, I forgot to say, Happy Birthday...belated.

35 is not old. Wait until you turn 40. LOL. But you know what they say, 40 is the new 30 so...35 must be the new 25!

Happy 25th, Michelle!

Love T

Sign me up for the giveaway! :)

Have a wonderful trip. See you're traveling again and it's still not coming north. Although with all the thunderstorms lately it might be a wet visit to the Duke City.

Happy birthday! Sometimes I think the hardest part of getting older is acknowledging you can't do everything you used to do. But all those happy memories you created before make up for it. :)

A belated happy birthday, Michelle.

Thirty-five? My goodness, you're just a kid. Let's talk when you're looking at fifty-eight (next week).

I do remember being thirty-five though. Barely. LOL

I hope you had a wonderful birthday.
