Kids Music

Whenever we travel by car Joe and I have pretty much given up on listening to the radio, or any of our CDs, anymore. Kayla either watches DVDs or listens to kid-friendly/fun music CDs. We have a small collection of those, so to be honest, we're getting a little tired of hearing the same songs over and over and over...I'm sure you know how that goes!

I recently received 5 CDs courtesy of Mom Central for the Disney Records Blog Tour. Thank goodness we had some new music CDs to listen to on our latest road trip!

The CDs we received are: Disney Music Block Party, Rhyming Circus - Ralph's World, Juice Box Heroes - Imagination Movers, Choo Choo Soul, and Here Come The 1, 2, 3s - They Might Be Giants.

The Disney Block Party was filled with familiar favorites like Under The Sea, The Bare Necessities, Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah, Mickey Mouse Club March, etc. It sure brought back memories of my childhood!

We enjoyed listening to all the CDs and learning some new songs, but Kayla's favorite is the music video DVD included with the Choo Choo Soul CD. She asks to watch "the train" and dances along with the kids on that video, which has a very catchy hip-hop beat to it.

You can check out all the songs and artists on Disney's Music Block Party.

School House Rocks is what is in my CD rotation. That's fine. I can stand that in the car. I do admit, I have to mix mommy music in there and not all music is up for car listening. I love Bob and Larry, but we can rock to them at home!

W.W. is just not interested in kids songs. He got a CD for his birthday and we listened to it but zippo interest. He doesn't sing along to the kids shows he watches. I honestly think his sister has him hooked into country western, I have heard him try to sing along to those songs and that's just funny. :)

We have a Johnny Cash Children's Album and the kids love it! It is fun!

I'll have to check out that CD. Right now all they want to listen to still is the food allergy cd. I always think it's sad when I sing to those songs. :)
